Saturday 8th June will be my first drawing day up the lighthouse at spurn. Small steps first, armed with camera, charcoal, drawing pad and thoughts. Will make full use of the light rooms amazing view to start with and make sketches of the lighthouse to get the ball rolling. And maybe something else if the mood takes me. Will post results on line next week.

Enjoyed getting to grips with the lighthouse/studio.
Couldn’t be a better studio for light and atmosphere.
Decided to get the ball rolling with a couple of charcoal drawings. Difficult at the mo getting equipment down to the lighthouse as it is still cut off by road. So travelling light.
Had a very clear day, could see for miles. Exploring the lighthouse was fantastic and getting used to its quirky noises was interesting.
